We are sharing our learning on Twitter!!!Parents and students we are excited to tell you that you can follow us on Twitter @mrdorlandsclass for tweets on what we are learning in our classroom. Our tweets will be weekly during school hours, so you'll have more of a connection to what our students are learning in the classroom. You will also be able to see the other classrooms in the world we are connecting with and learning from.
Here is a link about the benefits of twitter in the classroom. This situation is a little different than our class because we only have one account the students will be writing from. The students will take turns. It does illustrate how powerful of an educational tool it is. It gives opportunity for us to share our learning and opinions with other students around the world. In turn they will be able to learn from us. You will also be able to learn what we are doing in our classroom.
The twitter universe is a rich learning tool. The more the students are communicating about their learning the more opportunity it provides for them to understand people in different parts of the world and for them to understand themselves as life long learners.
Should you have any further questions regarding twitter or the use of technology in our classroom please feel free to send me an email via the Contact Me page or just click the envelope on the top right of the page.
Thank you!!
Thank you Mr. McDonald for opening my eyes to Twitter, and how to best use it!
